Listen to the CanadaSound Mix Zone with Rich Terfry – the winter walk

We all know Rich Terfry as the voice behind the mic on Radio 2 Drive.
But he also gets on the mic as Buck 65, one of Canada’s accomplished hip-hop artists. To have a little fun with the CanadaSound project, Rich is taking sounds submitted by Canadians and turning them into music in a feature we call the Mix Zone.
In today’s mix, Rich brings together the sounds you would hear on a Canadian winter walk. Listen for the sound of a snowball hitting a garage door, footsteps in crunchy snow, chopping wood, wolves howling, woodpeckers pecking and, finally, the sound of hands rubbing together to get warm.
Rich would love to blend your sounds into a mix for the next Mix Zone. What is your ultimate Canadian sound? Record it and submit it here.
CBC Music is pleased to support CanadaSound, imagined by cleansheet communications, with our partners at the Junos, SOCAN, MusiCounts, Canadian Heritage, ICI Musique and Adisque.
