About Digging Roots:

Musical partners Raven and ShoShona are the songwriting team and creative inspiration behind the JUNO winning band’s five-piece ensemble. Digging Roots brings on global-blues infused music and animates audiences throughout North America and from Europe to Australia with their ‘round dances’. Producing their latest album The Hunter & The Healer in Australian and Canadian recording studios, their new video ‘AK-47’ explores the concept of love as a weapon for reclaiming our humanity.

Digging Roots is excited about the CanadaSound project! We’re pairing our traditional Anishinabek Song Lines approach to composition with the sound sample banks from CanadaSound. A song will emerge from this collaborative exchange between rhythmic sound samples and contoured melodic shapes of the land.
