We all know Rich Terfry as the voice behind the mic on Radio 2 Drive, but Rich also gets on the mic as one of Canada’s most accomplished hip-hop artists. To have a little fun with the CanadaSound project, Rich is taking sounds submitted by Canadians and turning them into music, in a feature we call the Mix Zone.

In this mix, Rich whets our appetite for spring and the May long weekend with a beautiful mix called the Rhythm of the Lake. What is it about the sound of a paddle dipping into lake water that is so utterly relaxing? Or the cry of the loon? Or the buzz of cicadas at the end of a day on the water?
