Listen to the CanadaSound Mix Zone with Rich Terfry: the rhythm of hockey

We all know Rich Terfry as the voice behind the mic on Radio 2 Drive, but Rich also gets on the mic as one of Canada’s most accomplished hip-hop artists. To have a little fun with the CanadaSound project, Rich is taking sounds submitted by Canadians and turning them into music, in a feature we call the Mix Zone.
In this mix, Rich brings together the sounds you would hear at the good ol’ hockey game just in time for the playoffs. Listen for the familiar sounds of taping up a stick and shin pads, slap shots, pucks booming against the boards and hitting the goal post, and the “hiss” of skates stopping on ice.
Rich would love to blend your sounds into a mix for the next Mix Zone. What is your ultimate Canadian sound? Record it and submit it here.
CBC Music is pleased to support CanadaSound, imagined by cleansheet communications, with partners the Junos, SOCAN, Musicounts, Canadian Heritage, IcI musique, and Adisque.
