About JJ and The Pillars:
JJ and The Pillars are a four-piece Folk-Rock outfit originating from Peterborough, ON. They have been making a splash in Toronto, most recently winning The Edge Next Big Thing out of nearly 700 Canadian Bands, and playing Koi Fest, Indie Week, CMW and The 2014 CASBY Awards with The Arkells, Tokyo Police Club, Dear Rouge and more.
JJ and The Pillars have recently finished recording a 7 song EP in Toronto with producer, and friend of the band, Ross Hayes Citrullo. Their single “The Wolves”, mastered by the legendary João Carvalho, has been on the rise on 102.1 The Edge’s Top 30, Canada’s Biggest Rock Station, by popular demand.
This band is starting to prove success throughout the Toronto music scene, bringing in the likes of USS, Sam Roberts, Matt Mayes, i-mother-earth and more.
According to lead singer JJ Thompson, “It’s been a crazy first year for the Pillars; we’re excited for what’s next.”
