Alx Veliz is an artist whose emergence comes at a great moment in music – a time when dancing rules, where cultures embrace, and when optimism rides high. Alx Veliz brings an electrifying, synth-driven pop with Latin rhythm, which calls to one’s heart. Alx and his music are products of the multicultural fabric of Toronto. As he says, “In a society with various cultures, upbringing and dialects there is one thing we all have in common: love. I’ve always been a hopeless romantic so it was only right for the dominant theme in my music to be just that, love.” Veliz, who is signed as an artist to Universal Music Group and Disney Music Publishing as a songwriter, stormed the Billboard charts with his debut single “Dancing Kizomba”.

The track has had over 30 million Spotify streams and was recently certified platinum in Spain. The English and Spanish music video has reached more than four million YouTube views combined. The song is featured on his newly released six-track EP Love Has No Language that placed the Toronto star on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100. “Dancing Kizomba” is a hit born in a traffic jam – this sexy form of dance has quickly spread and is making its way to the mainstream world.

Alx is also involved with Futbol4life, a non-profit developing athletic and leadership skills in Colombia. The Toronto native is scheduled to perform at the V Music Festival in Europe in August, which follows the Nicky Jam’s “Fenix Tour”; a 12-date tour which kicked off in Tampa, Florida on July 1 and will visit cities including Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Diego.
