About DRU:

Determined. Revolutionary. Unstoppable. These are fitting words to describe Dru, the R&B/Soul/Pop singer and songwriter. After years of developing his vocal talent, Dru’s early success came during his time as lead singer of the R&B group In Essence, whose debut album The Master Plan earned a JUNO Award, MuchMusic Award and a SOCAN #1 Award for the club hit “You Will Never Find” in 2004. Dru’s first solo album, The One, was released in 2008 and earned critical acclaim, including a 3.5/ 4 review from the Toronto Star.

He was featured on Doman & Gooding’s high energy dance hit single “Runnin’ “ in 2009, which earned him another JUNO nomination for “Dance Recording of the Year”. In 2014 Dru took some time to reinvent himself yet again and wrote his soulful smash hit single “Déjà Vu” produced by heavy hitters Baseline and Kuya productions, which earned him a JUNO nomination for R&B Soul Recording of the year. Dru joined the Sean Paul Full Speed Tour in March 2016 and spent the summer showcasing his new single “Don’t Be Afraid” for his growing fan base.
